Speech

Pella Christian’s Speech team competes each winter with the Iowa High School Speech Association.  Competitions include both Large Group Events and Individual Events.

Large Group Events include: One-Act play, Readers Theatre, Choral Reading, Musical Theatre, Ensemble Acting, Short Film, and Improv.

Individual Events include: Prose Interp, Poetry Interp, Lit Interp, Storytelling, Musical Theatre, Acting, Public Address, and Improv.

Theatre Troupe

PC's Theatre Troupe is an organized group of students who enjoy doing all kinds of theatre and speech-both on stage and back stage. The Theatre Troupe inducts new members each April at their annual end of the year "Celebration!" based on points earned throughout the year. A student needs to earn a minimum of 65 points to become a member. Theatre Troupe Officers for 2022-23 are:   (Note new years given)

Typical activities for Troupe members include holiday socials, trips to see professional shows in the area, and workshop opportunities.
