The Throughlines are biblical characteristics that each person can be challenged to embody. Christian schools can develop Christian culture by challenging their people to actively live out these characteristics. These Biblical Throughlines help us to understand our roles within the community. See below for a list and description of our ten Throughlines.
IMAGE REFLECTOR: I can bear the image of God in my daily life by developing my gifts to reflect God and serve others. (Genesis 1:27)
COMMUNITY BUILDER: I can be an active pursuer and builder of communal shalom. We will be communities of grace where we will walk and work together in a spirit of shalom. ( 1 Corinthians 12:12)
GOD WORSHIPER: I can understand that worshipping God is about celebrating who God is, what God has done and is doing, and what God has created. It is about standing in awe and wonder of a knowledge of Him and His promises. I can see worship as a way of life. (Psalm 34:3)
JUSTICE SEEKER: I can act as an agent of change by identifying and responding to injustices. (Micah 6:8)
EARTH KEEPER: I can respond to God's call to be stewards of all creation. (Psalm 24:1)
TRUTH SEEKER: I can understand that when other "things" are more important to use than our relationship with God, they become idols. I can be challenged to identify, understand and discern the idols of our time. (Deuteronomy 11:16)
ORDER DISCOVERER: I can find harmony and order in God's creation. (Psalm 19:1-3)
BEAUTY CREATOR: I can glorify and praise God by creating that which is beautiful and pleasing to Him. This offering of creativity is a joyful duty that we offer as a sacrifice of praise. (Colossians 1:16)
CREATION ENJOYER: I can celebrate and discover God's beautiful creation. (Psalm 65:8)
SERVANT WORKER: I can work actively to heal brokenness and bring joy to individuals and to culture. (1 John 3:16)
